I was made aware of something really cool yesterday. I should say really really cool because it is THAT cool! The Geeky Pleasures Radio Show Theme Song now has a video to go along with it. You can check it out below now that I finally figured out how to embed videos! Small victory. Thanks to Andrew Edgar for putting this awesomeness together. And of course thanks to Jules for using this as her theme song.
You can follow both Andrew and Jules on Twitter by clicking on their names.
The Geeky Pleasures Radio Show airs every Friday evening at 10:00PM EST on The Look 247. Mark your calendars. You can get to it here at http://thelook247.com
Bonus! The video has been made the Geek Of The Week over at Geeky Pleasures. Go check it out!

Another Labor Day has passed and the unofficial end of summer is here once again. This time of year always gets me thinking about the future. Future musical plans that is. I’m sure it stems from the start of the school year which seems like a good starting point for stuff. Also, it’s more comfy temp-wise in the music studio and could spend more time in there doing my thing without the frustration of noisy air conditioning. The plans I have in mind, as you can tell, have to do with music. And doesn’t it always? Usually when I make plans/goals, they start off strong for a couple weeks then fizzle. I’m pretty confidant I’ll follow through.
What I’ll be doing is writing a new song and releasing them right here every two weeks. The first song will be out on Wednesday September 28th, and every two weeks moving forward. That would make 7 new songs before the year is up. There still needs to be a name for this project and perhaps a logo. Please feel free to send me an email or tweet me with any suggestions. Its been awhile since I wrote any songs on my own. Meaning not for a contest and I’d like to get back into that mode. I have nothing against the songwriting contests but I feel like I’ve been leaning on them like a crutch, making me a lazybones or lazybrain about coming up with my own ideas. Hopefully this will kick start the creativity and get me rolling in the right direction. Actually, any direction will do.
The first song will be an instrumental number written for Sammy Kablam’s hilarious movie review series entitled “Dammit, Tad”. Sammy’s reviews and retelling of the movies are far more entertaining than the movies themselves. Check it out here. This is definitely NSFW (unless your workplace is cool) and don’t watch around young children due to some of the language. The little musical intro is my small contribution to Sammy’s world and it’s what the full blown instrumental will be based off of. This will be my first, and possibly only instrumental since I like songs with words and like to sing. I’m hoping to ride Sammy’s coattails to fame. If not his coattails then maybe one of his groovy shirts. Tell him how awesome he is. His Twitter is @SammyKablam.
Couple other little things I’ll be doing. You know that song Today’s The Day by Inverse T Clown? If not, check it out here. I’ll be doing my own cover and maybe a video. You could even do your own cover. It’s encouraged! Lastly, I’ll be changing up the way the website feels a little. More than anything, and most importantly, the way the music is displayed and shared. I’m researching now and think I found a pretty cool way to do it. Included in the musical changes, I’ll be putting entire versions of all the songs with just instruments, no vocals. I always found that sort of thing interesting. That’s about it for now. See you in a couple weeks when the first song for this “unnamed” project is released.
